What We Offer

Windfall Farm proudly offers horse back riding lessons to riders of all ages and abilities. We have three types of lessons available. Please contact us directly for pricing. This can be done by filling out an inquiry or calling Emily Staib White.

Beginner Lesson

Beginner lesson are ideal for students who have never ridden or handled a horse. These lessons are an hour in length and include grooming and basic horse care as part of the instruction.

Private Lessons

Private lesson are great for riders who own or are leasing their horse and focused on individual goals. These lessons are one hour in length and provide individualized instruction catered to the horse and rider's specific needs. These lessons can be focused either over fences, on the flat, or a combination of both.

Group Lessons

Group lessons are a great option for riders who are looking to both improve their skills but also create relationships with other riders in the barn. Exercises are more broad and riders learn from one another by watching and discussing the exercises. Group lessons are an hour to an hour and a half in length and have typically no more than 3 riders per session. This style of lesson has 50% flat work and 50% over fences.

Custom Packages

If the above lessons don't sound like what you're looking for don't worry because we can talk about a custom package that best suits your needs! Need a shorter or longer lesson? Want an hour of just horse management lessons with no riding? Want to split a lesson between two kids? These are all services we've been able to provide and are willing to customize for you.

Erica Staib

Erica began riding her riding career at age of 8 under Frank & Wayne Carroll at Secor Farm in White Plains, NY. Like many she took weekly lessons that blossomed into the occasional lease and showing. Her 1st horse, an OTTB was purchased when she was 16. This provided her the opportunity to show more regularly her last few years as a junior. With horse in tow, Erica came to Ohio to attend Ohio University and eventually found her way to Cincinnati.

Erica has a breadth of experience in the horse industry including show exhibitor, show management, coaching, show groom, breaking horses, breeding, owning a race horse, working in tack stores and farm ownership. She presently serves the equestrian community as the President of the Ohio Hunter Jumper Board of directors.

Erica enjoys sharing her passion for horses and horse showing particularly with those new to horses and riding. Her focus is on safety and fun while learning basic horsemanship and riding skills.
